Â
Kevin was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico in 1976, but has lived nearly his entire life in the United States. (Yes, the whole ordeal was planned by his parents so he could enjoy the benefits of dual citizenship.)
Perhaps it was the long camping trips surrounded by the dunes of Mexico or the inherited passion of his grandfather’s days in Midget Auto racing that lead him to become the Rally enthusiast he is today. Maybe it was Kevin’s fondness for watching World Rally events on television at an early age. Whatever it was, Kevin is now solidly on the road to Rally racing.Â
Choosing a sports car as his first (and second and third…) car may have lead him away from the dirt spinning, mud slinging, existence of the true off-road racer, but with his re-discovery of Rally in recent years (and it’s close relationship to its sporty street legal vehicles), this seems to be a perfect match.
After attending college for 7 or 8 years, he found himself in possession of BA in Electronics Engineering and a job playing with “lasersâ€. He has continued his education and expanded from primarily Hardware Support into his current position as a Test Development Software Engineer. Hopefully his hardware upbringing will be of use in the (very likely) event of an on stage problem.Â
Continuing down that strange road of adulthood, Kevin found himself blessed enough to get a second chance with his High School sweetheart.  They had a beautiful wedding on the shores of the Pacific at a place called Calafia, just south of the border from San Diego. This picturesque venue would turn out to be a wonderful foreshadowing of all of the amazing blessings that would befall him and his family. Kevin would gain a lovely, young daughter, Makayla, from the new union. Her faith in the Lord and positive outlook on life are a constant reminder to Kevin that life is good and there are people that really care about him. The family introduced another member to the world with the birth of their second daughter Devin. This bubbly baby can light up any room and has brought countless hours of joy to the family.
Kevin and his Co-Driver Jake met during the tender troublesome years of Middle School and, though they have survived countless harrowing situations together, the FBI has asked that we not speak of these to protect the parties envolved. Besides… we are unsure of the statute of limitations. So now we sit poised on the edge of a whole new league of “adventures”.
Many thanks are due to the Rallynotes Team, and to its ever changing crew, for offering endless information, support and opportunities to re-discover the world of Rally.
