Well this year’s first Stage Rally event is upon us and the WTF Racing team is very excited and anxious to get underway. The Desert Storm Rally will mark the team’s second Stage Rally event since their ‘07 debut and the first chance at high-speed runs. Though both Driver and Co-Drive have travelled the long stretch of the I-10 between Arizona and Cali many, many times, this will be their first adventure off-roading near Blythe, CA.
The City of Blythe looks to be nearly as excited to put on the event as the Rally America folks hosting the event. The two day event is set around a fire-department spaghetti cookout to help fundraise for local causes as well as a Parc Ferme stage in the evening. Teams will get a chance to show off their cars to the public up close and personal at the meet-and-greet event.
A group known as RallyTrack will also be appearing at the event and offering the competitors a reduced rate for their SatCom tracking systems. With any luck the team will get to rent one of the setups and give our fans something fun to watch during the event. If all goes well, we hope to be trackable on the web for the Friday portion of the event at RallyTrack’s Website, though at this point in time they don’t appear to have the event posted yet.
Hoping to be back here in a few days to announce our commanding win! ![]()
